There's not really anything special here except towards the end where someones action surprised me. Otherwise, this is your basic WWII victim recognizing a Nazi and seeking revenge story.

1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

The premise of the movie is not old, it has done before. There are no surprises , the ending is much expected. I like this kind of movies, not do dull but nothing new to give

_The Secrets We Keep_ continues the very popular Hollywood trend that characters from any "eastern European" country have to be played by _anyone_ but actors from those countries. It's about how certain people and cultures are portrayed, always by people with no relation to said cultures ... because that's the representation and cultural appropriation people on Twitter can't shut the fuck up, right?

I'm absolutely positive anyone responsible for this casting has never ever heard how Romanians talk, because yes, of course, all Romanians are Romani. Hey, this is geography/another culture, not war, we can't expect much from Americans. So, Noomi Rapace's accent is just her natural accent ... now, that's talent. If you are stealing roles that are meant for someone else, at least put a little effort.

Other than that, the movie is very boring. Couldn't even finish it.

There are about 5 excellent films with a similar idea, the question is how it is made. Having recognized a man who should not be here in any way, an emigrant from Europe kidnaps him and is convinced that she is right. Her desire to understand Why? pretty much ruins the film. He is a victim of circumstances, and the inevitable result is like a fiasco

Never as good as it could have been. The acting is fine and the story is an interesting one but its not as powerful as I expected. The fault might lie with the editing and the abbreviated running time. Or perhaps the talents behind the film were not on good form. Whatever the case, this is watchable but disappointing, and that is a shame.

While this story line is familiar in movies and books, I'm always interested in seeing different perspectives on bringing the stories to life. This is one reason I searched for this film to watch it. The second reason is Joel Kinnaman. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance in The Killing, Hannah, and again in The Informer. He is top-notch at his craft and brings his A-Game to all his movies/shows. This performance did not let me down. Noomi Rapace & Chris Messina were also good performers in their roles. The story may be similar in plot and premise, but these actors do a good job at making it easy to sit through again. I would recommend this movie.

It's feel like a slow novie, not much happening. Still it kept me tension all the way.
