I really liked the concept and the scenario but acting was not that good so I could give the movie 6,5/10

An inexperienced priest teams up with a hardened exorcist to stop the demonic possession of a young boy. But darkness lies where they least expect it. More like exorcists playing detective instead of doing exorcism. This is a painfully generic possession/exorcism film with soulless lead actor. It starts off fairly promising until it hits a lot of the exorcist film tropes we've seen a hundred times before. Could be more fun if added a slight spin on this tired formula. There's a "twist" but it's badly handled.

this definitely works and worth your time, watch it.. it's very good... So many bad reviews for no reason (rotten tomatoes)... Watch and be the judge yourself... If I'm wrong let me know, if I'm right please comment and upvote . We need more films like this, nowadays it feels like hollywood don't even try anymore... so many junk and this pearl gets unnoticed?

_The Seventh Day_ is a rather dull and convoluted religious horror film. While training to be an exorcist, Father Daniel discovers that a young boy who killed his family is demon possessed and attempts to save him. Guy Pearce is especially good as a rebel priest, but unfortunately it’s Vadhir Derbez’s film to carry; and he’s pretty bad. The script isn’t very good either, and director Justin P. Lange goes way over the top with the demon possession scenes. Incredibly disappointing, _The Seventh Day_ is a poorly made film that’s not all that frightening.

still watching, just here to give a head's up: there's flashing/flickering light shortly past the 55:00 mark that may aggravate photosensitivity, particularly if you're epileptic. even though i'm not finished i'll go ahead and say i just watched it for guy pearce :woman_shrugging_tone1: stephen lang being here is pretty great too, even if he's unrecognizable with a pair of circle glasses. the young lead is a pretty good actor, i might check him out in some of the spanish language work he's done.

The film starts off quite well but loses its way towards the end. There are some decent set pieces and the acting is good, but I had the feeling that it could have been better with a bigger budget.

The Seventh Day starts out strong, but loses much of it's momentum during it's second half. Predictable and with low production values, The Seventh Day is probably only truly recommendable to those deep in the trenches of the horror genre; those willing to overlook the shortcomings for a few cheap scares and a telegraphed twist that are a given with this tier of entertainment.
