This movie is a decent homage to Reservoir Dogs, but ultimately pretty forgettable. It's hard to see the point when Reservoir Dogs has been around so much longer, and is still just significantly better.

It never really felt like the main character of Gannon was ever in any danger, regardless of the secrets he was keeping.

The cast of characters was initially pretty fun, until they all started acting in ways no real person in their situation would act like.

There are worse movies. But that's not much of a recommendation.

Tbh, I found this a little dull. I didn't really care about who did what, and for a film with a murder mystery at its central core, that's not a good thing. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind while watching. Or perhaps the film just wasn't as good as I had heard.

Great cast and great performances. I liked the first half a lot more than the second half. Didn't quite manage to keep the suspense going. The overall theme and story line was right down my alley but the writing did feel pretty far fetched more often than not. Questionable behavior from most of the leads, one too many crazy backstories and the far out ending just didn't make for a very believable movie.

Too bad. Did a lot of things right!

Sometimes all you need to ruin everything, is a group of people. A militia man shoots up a cop's funeral, who would do such a thing!? That is what this particular militia is asking themselves when they realize that one of their AR-15s is missing and one of them did it. The joy is in the simplicity as we follow Gannon, an ex cop with secrets of his own as he interviews the members and tries to figure out which one of them did it. It is a slow burn that I feel I need to rewatch and it may click with me a lot more, as some of the mumbley dialogue and character names are hard to follow initially. Although I respect a movie that just drops you in the thick of it to fend for yourself and follow along. When it comes down to it and you are gearing up for the big change, what will your reaction be when it finally comes?
