I watched this movie recently for the first time. And although it’s a from 1985.. it still holds up pretty good. And with the 88 minutes it takes to make a story, it’s nice short and sweet. ~~And thank God there are no cellphones and internet! (:~~

This movie gave my son Nick - born in 1986 - his name! Elliot was never an option. I've been a fan of Cusack's ever since.

At first I thought that my review of this movie would be pretty cut-and-dried - the two leads have fantastic chemistry and you can see the end coming from a mile away but you enjoy the journey anyway. I happened to stumble upon Ebert's review of this movie and he really gave me a few things to think about. He pointed out that this movie was made during a time when there were outrageous movies about teens being far too confident in their sexuality and that this movie shows teens as they would be in real life (even if the scenes of the college parties are ridiculous). And what was up with Nicolette Sheridan's character? They treated her like a pet. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
