It's a slasher. Just turn off your brain and enjoy the gore. It's pretty good.

As a fan of the original film, I found the tie-in too tacked on, felt like an afterthought rather than part of the plot. Also, not sure why it was so short, but it could have used more time to draw out some suspense.

It’s still worth watching though, at least once.

First half of the movie was good, entertained and great kills. but after halfway started getting stupid. [spoiler] I though the old lady was coming like Sarah Connor with a mix of Rambo/Terminator. But, it was nothing like that. [/spoiler]

I'm not American, nor do I live in that country. However, Netflix is on the money producing a slasher movie featuring smug first-world Leftists getting massacred. There's a worldwide demand for that, we assure you. That bus scene was pure gold!

I've never been the biggest Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan, but this one was actually quite fun. Good kills, and a rather satisfying ending. I don't think the other TCM movies were this bloody, but that might be my bad memory at play. Too bad most of that blood is CGI.

The real satisfaction in this version of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes in the form of those hipster, gentrifying, know-it-all shitheads getting their comeuppance. I like the one that survive, though. There's one kill I don't particularly like, but I guess it just had to be like that. And no...I'm not talking about the final kill.

Anyway...I liked it, although I have a sneaking suspicion that it will divide the fans of the TCM franchise.

entertaining for a slasher flick in this era, but i'm gonna be honest, the ending didn't do it for me. i get wanting to leave room for a sequel when it comes to horror franchises, but that could've been left open without the last scene.

Not a patch on the original, just a cheap slasher with no depth. I’d avoid if you haven’t seen it yet.

Great kills and gore (seeing that lady after her face was ripped? Yeesh)

Great setting. The set design overall was really good, it captured the sunniness if the original but also had the neon with rain thing going, which I like to see.

The two leads and Richter were good characters

The cinematography was well done

No wasted time

Leatherface is spooky

Terrible writing, especially in the beginning

Sally is a wasted character, she honestly kinda pissed me off

Some of the PC dialogue works, some doesn’t

Some parts like the ending felt like parody (maybe it was intentional)

Tried the Laurie Strode / Halloween 2018 route

They made Leatherface a human tank like Michael or Jason

Overall it was like a 5/10. Definitely better than some of the other sequels.

Surprised by the 55% average. Not nearly as woke as I was expecting from the trailer. Gnarly kills. Great cinematography. Goofy characters and plot, but definitely worth watching for any slasher film fan. Plus it’s barely 80min. So you’ll breeze through it.

It’s by no means a great film but by trying to be as grim as the original movie, it deserves a little credit. Bit of a ripoff of the recent Halloween sequels, however.

I was so excited for this one… but it turned out really bad. Don’t watch this if you are a fan of the original series. This movie continues the old story but also somehow tells a new one, which isn’t really a story. This movie consists of 10% storytelling and the rest is basically murders.

Full of not-so great acting and I don't care much about the revenge plot but overall it's still a humorously brutal modern slasher that is an absolute gore and chuckle fest. Lots of gruesome and brutal kills as expected and that's all I need. The cinematography is super slick for a slasher film and Leatherface has a much scarier presence in here compared to other sequels.
