Lacey Chabert stars in the UPtv original movie _The Tree That Saved Christmas_. When an aspiring writer learns that her parents are in financial trouble and might lose their Christmas tree farm, she returns home to try to save it. The plot is hot garbage and makes no sense, and the acting is terrible; even Chabert isn’t very good, though she is charming. Yet despite the bad writing and the poor performances, there are some entertaining bits of humor and several touching character moments. A lazy and formulaic holiday film, _The Tree That Saved Christmas_ seems haphazardly thrown together.
