Another great Easter horror. This is a quite odd religious horror that pretty much feels like a late 70s religious thriller with a very cheesy 80s ending. There's a little mystery, suspense, or thrills, but gives you plenty of atmosphere and good character development. It never hits the classic level for me, but it does enough interesting things to hold my attention. Although it's way more serious than I was expecting, there's also a fair amount of cheese and nudity that makes it highly enjoyable. The payoff comes with the batshit finale and wildly entertaining practical effects. Ben Cross as the lead character is so interesting it makes this very compelling to watch.

Oh, who me? I'm just the new priest in town, looking to make some friends, acquaintances, so forth. Sure I love long walks at night, visiting weird satanic culty clubs, and eating brunch. Oh yeah, sometimes I see this hot red head with a great body twirling around in the rain at night, no big deal. She seems cool. Movie is a hot mess of what the what

Kind of interesting and atmospheric, but ultimately, it kept losing my interest. My mind kept wandering the whole movie, to the point I had to rewind it three times, and I still don't fully understand what was going on. That's not a good sign... The awful creature effects didn't help its cause.
