What a waste of time.
I'm not often this let down but I had hopes that this would be good. It really wasn't. The plot was incredibly weak. Main character Pippa went from obsessed horny girl to a over the top femme fatale in the blink of an eye. Every other character was flat, unlikable and annoying. No depth was created anywhere and then they went and dropped that awful 'twist'... shall we call it that?
[spoiler] I was furious when Thomas died. First they led us to believe it was suicide which had my blood boiling but then of course it turned out he was murdered which I don't know... felt worse. I could believe he might have been suicidal and Pippa cheated would tip him over the edge but these two incredibly self centered people killing him for a little art project... god awful... [/spoiler]
Of course they had some nice foreshadowing moments in the movie but to be honest it was too little too late. [spoiler] and then Pippa went off the rails and BLINDED the two!? Which at first I thought was a very 'yes, get revenge girl' move but later felt incredibly out of character. Pippa seemed entirely too timid for such a drastic move. [/spoiler]
Aside from the weak plot there was a lot of cringey dialogue (especially in the beginning of the movie). I noticed the movie was labeled on Prime as something for 'young public' which is probably true. I mean they used the word 'sus'...
I wanted to give the movie a fair chance so I kept watching when in reality the first five minutes or so was enough for me. Halfway through I thought 'how much longer is this torture' but was too invested to stop at that point. I hoped for some elaborate twist but it went from bad to worse.
Save yourself the trouble.

I was randomly looking for a thrilling mystery. I got randomly lucky. Multiple endings that weave together. Highly recommended. 5 stars.
