Fans of Jim Cummings previous films will enjoy this - it's shot through with his trademark sense of humour, and the narrative is anything but predictable. Rest in peace Robert Forster, you will be missed.

After "Thunder road", Jim Cummings continues with his weird sense of humor, which finds the comedy in the drama or the ridicule of characters in a nervous breakdown. But this mixture of horror and humor, this kind of reinterpretation of "Twin Peaks" stretching absurd situations, does not find the right balance. And it ends up being a certainly unusual product but also a failed one.

Men Yelling: The Movie

It had some funny moments but mostly it was just pretty snow scenery and yelling

fargo-esque immediately came to mind. from reviews, most people seem to have a love/hate of the humor - i enjoyed the wry bleak farce of it all. also, people hated cummings' john marshall - i had no problem with it, especially since the character is an underappreciated egotistical recovering alcoholic, i felt the acting was fitting.
im unfamiliar with jim cummings other works, but i enjoyed this outing of a werewolf whodunit

Never seen any Jim Cummings projects so I don't understand the hype. Movie was meh. Story was ok but the comedy wasn't funny, more annoying than anything .

Wasted 1.24:43 of my life

From the poster art, this looked like it could be a potentially old school style werewolf movie. Knowing nothing about it prior to watching, it turned out to be a Horror-Comedy that was neither too scary nor too funny. But ultimately, this was a very good story about a dysfunctional Policeman/Dad, burdened by his own personal expectations of himself. While these lofty goals have lead him to alcoholism, rage, and just being a world-class asshole, John Marshall was a character I pulled for. I also really liked the character of Julia, who is a top cop and a genuine good person.

A movie that wasn't really about the Wolf and was more about character struggles is something that I normally would hate. It irks me when I start out watching a Horror movie and it turns into a soap opera. But that wasn't the case here. There is some rapid fire dialog and crazy character interactions that make this different. There is a significant amount of gore to be had, but it's usually presented very briefly so it communicates how awful the incidents of the movie are instead of reveling in the blood and guts.

Was not so bad at first i hated John Marshall but later he was ok.
Sad it was no a real werewolf movie :(.

This is surely not some typical small town murder mystery. It has this strange vibe.

This murder mystery is quite funny and engaging once you get into it. Performance wise the late Robert Forster is the best actor in the movie.
It’s not always clear what Jim Cummings is going for. Though his cop with anger issues at least feels original and fun at times. Even if his acting isn’t Oscar worthy. Maybe that’s the point of his performance ?
The movie is like a dramedy horror version of Wolfen with Albert Finney. Since no one is actually sure if there’s a werewolf.

A chaotic montage, over-acted characters (the protagonist / director / screenwriter takes the cake), a story with more holes than an Emmental cheese (because Gruyère has NO holes) and some other little things make it impossible for me to recommend this movie. Look, I like the werewolves genre, but ... this time I was wrong.

I made it halfway through before calling it quits. It isn't terrible but, as a horror comedy, it has to be funny and I just didn't find it all that funny. I haven't seen anything else from Jim Cummings so maybe this is his style but it's not for me. I would say if you like campy or comedic horror than you might like this but it's not a guarantee.

The Wolf of Snow Hollow was not what I was expecting, but that's ok because it was great none-the-less. The humour really resonated with me. A recovering alcoholic, who finds his job so stressful that he relapses, doesn't seem like rich comedy material, but I loved it. The acting was solid and the movie held my interest throughout.

Write, direct, act, and all at entertaining levels of humor. Thought this was a well done spiral out of control with a killer on the loose. This is my first time seeing anything he acted in or directed. There's definitely a future in both

What a stupid movie... Not at all what I expected. Weird movie, weird humor and the guy reminded me of a bad version of Jim Carrey

It was more an action/comedy film than a thriller film. I had a good laugh
