The most elegant Norwegian thriller about a sheltered lesbian with supernatural abilities that you will ever see.

Great mastery/supernatural story that's in the core of it, it's only about a girl finding her strength to be herself in world that is trying to suppress her.
The lead Eili Harboe, the overall visuals are beautifully haunting. Joachim trier never disappoints

A unique, fascinating and thought-provoking film(supernatural drama about self-discovery), with a perfectly-paced plot, that keeps you engaged as it unfolds, while also maintaining a sense of ambiguity. The acting and directing were also great.

Don't expect any heads exploding a' la Scanners, and don't expect any Carrie-allike prom bloodbaths either. Oh, and you shouldn't expect any road trips with a character by the name of Louise. This is a subtle supernatural drama that has its share of disturbing moments, but is more concerned with growing pains and familial difficulties.

Who are all these people that gave this a 7.2 and i was on the verge of a boredom breakdown.
Really boring i mean boring like 2x speed to watch it and one person fell asleep

Well crafted and wonderfully executed. It strikes the perfect balance in how much information it gives you without being pretentious or holding your hand. Great performances and likely to stay with you.

The new movie about Jesus looks good

A great movie super plot blow mind and some great perfomances also..i couldn't take my eyes from the screen for two hours that was a refresing idea we need to see in our screen. 8.3/10

It's from Norway, it's slow, I would not have seen it if it was not because the girl has powers and conflicts religious, I liked how count the things and what counts

Whoever wrote this story simply made the main character (Thelma) kill her father just to so that she could live a romance with her homosexual partner without knowing that in every relationship there are disagreements and in the first disagreement the main character would make her lesbian partner disappear just like she did with her father (spoiler) lol.

A real bad and pathetic movie where they have a particular scene just to offend some people's God, literally calling him obscene names... I thought with myself if they would make that same scene with the god of angry Muslims lol.

Aside from the homosexuality and atheism militancy, this movie has also a bad story, it is extremely boring, and it isn't even scary or mysterious, it is just tiresome. In short, there is no reason for a person to waste time and watch this crap.

When something really gets to us in a way we can't think about anything else, in Brazil we say it has "rented an apartment" inside our heads. That's what this movie has done to me. Carefully nuanced, simply beautiful.

You can feel the visuals of this movie. Thelma’s struggle is wonderfully portrayed by Eili Harboe. Highly recommend this film!

An elegant psychodrama about a fanatic religious household-raised girl’s coming of age. The story develops into the supernatural like in “Carrie,” but in a way more sober and arthouse-friendly manner. Even though it was visually gripping, I found it a little too cold on the surface and shallow underneath for my taste.
