The most stock romcom I've seen for a long time, but that's ok. I needed a good palate cleanser after the horrors I've been consuming recently and this was a nice, light hearted distraction from that. Clooney and Roberts have still got that awesome on-screen chemistry that's hard not to smile at, even when the story is taking the most predictable of turns. Some solid filler, throwaway media, not much more to say.

Clooney and Roberts have fantastic chemistry. Kaitlyn Dever is lovely as always.

Loved the outtakes in the credits - haven't seen that in a while.

What even … this is one of the worst movies I have seen in a while. Did not even manage to finish it. Horrible script, bad performances … so disappointed and I was so looking forward to Julia and George …

I watched it wondering if it's a romantic comedy, who is supposed to fall in love?
Unfortunately, I turned it off before I found out.

The love couldn't have been between Julia Roberts and George Clooney since they spent all the time they were on screen together being totally annoying to each other and made me turn the movie off...

They say this is Pretty Woman: 25y later but it’s actually a prequel to Emily in Paris

I wish I had seen some interesting gags based on coffee, instead than a predictable and stale comedy full of stereotypes.

It's exactly what it says it is. Don't expect to be surprised and you'll be fine. Judging by the sounds in the cinema, the other (older) people found this a lot funnier that I did. Still, it made me chuckle one or two times. Which is more than most romantic comedies achieve.

I enjoyed this and it made me laugh a lot. George Clooney and Julia Roberts made this movie...their chemistry together onscreen is great as in previous films. I honestly didn't want it to end when it did. Fun stuff!

This movie is terrible. Roberts and Clooney just phoned this one in, the acting is so-so, the plot is normal trope for romcom's and it just falls flat. The only reason it earned any money is having two blockbuster stars leading it, otherwise either nobody would have noticed or they would have gotten two actors that make this movie work better and it would have been the top movie.

If it's a ticket to paradise, how did I wind up in hell?

I'm not a fan of rom-coms and this epitomizes everything I don't like about them... The lack of any actual humor, the dearth of originality, the predictable story...

George Clooney comes out of this looking good and Kaitlyn Dever is her incredibly talented and charming self but the rest of this film is like a trip to the proctologist's: a pain in the ass that one must endure rather than enjoy.

@saint-pauly If you're not a fan of the genre, how did you wind up watching it?

@yellowheart Fair question! I'm a cinevore. I literally go to the cinema every day in Paris and would rather see a bad movie than no movie. I'm glad you liked this one, though!

Saw this on a awful 3rd date so I'll try not to let that affect the review
A fairly standard and predicable rom com that left me thinking these people are making terrible decisions tbh. Poor girl is burned out from completing her law degree. Ofc she's gonna fall for the hot sea weed farmer. Holiday good times are just that - for holidays! Get back to the real world, girl! You're gonna be bored in 6 months

It could not be more predictable, but it works as it is. It is precisely fair.

It feels like it's been a hot minute since Hollywood released a romcom. I just saw it yesterday in the theater with my sister and we loved it. Lots of fun and laughing out loud!

Dull, kept alive by Julia Roberts’ smile and George Clooney’s charm.

Honestly, this was super cute. It’s a romcom so don’t expect something life changing but it was well done
