Boy what a creepy movie. Don't wanna spoil anything but there is more to this movie than just a tickle ring. This was laugh out loud sometimes but awkward laughs. First time at the Sundance Cinemas, what a great theater. Nice cool AC, ample armrests and cup holders, fancy snackbar and only 21+!! Loved it. Great pick of indie films too.

Rarely is a documentary so delightfully unpredictable and just straight up bizarre.

I thought this documentary was well done but the end just feels empty. By the time the documentary is done, you have only learnt a bit about what is going on behind the scenes but it lacks resolve even in the most basic sense so it was good and I would say worth a watch but don't expect a big ending or anything apart from "okay we know what actually goes on behind the scenes of this organization".

Truth is often weirder than fiction. So it is with this documentary which began by looking at competitive tickling before events turn decidedly sinister. The film has to be seen to be believed; it is no laughing matter.

This was so bizarre.
The synopsis seems kinda silly, but as the story develops, things get really intense.
The documentary seems to take place in an alternate reality, It feels like a thriller and a big conspiracy theory. It took a lot of gut for this guys to pursue this after all the threats and everything they started to figure out.
The feeling left afterwards can only be described as:this is so Black Mirror.

Will watch anything that David Farrier creates. Truly delightful and insane.

This was one of the most bizarre documentary I've ever seen. It's unpredictable, creepy and shocking. Won't forget it for a long time.

Now my introduction to the concept of tickle torture as an erotic genre of porn has been done on a prior date. beyond that it was absolutely fantastic. all docos aside this one has shook me. the history of the entire tickle foundation and the prior case of it was some serious quality content. A good library choice Netflix. kudos

A journalist sets out to write about the world of ‘competitive tickling’, and in doing so opens a can of worms.

This documentary captures an utterly bizarre set of events as they unfold. The fact that a competitive tickling championship exits is odd in and of itself but there are weirder fetishes on the internet. It gets truly surreal when the people making the videos threaten the journalists, even going so far as sending lawyers to New Zealand (where Farrier and Reeve are from).

As a response the pair travel to the US to try and find out more, only to uncover a massive ring of exploitation involving the videos.

There’s too much filler here and sometimes the film-making feels a little amateurish (the voice over was surplus to requirements), but Tickled is just too interesting to pass up on. Farrier and Reeve pull and pull on the loose thread and the whole thing unravels.
