To Keep the Light

It was a quaint film that had an alluring charm. The cinematography and setting were gorgeous, with Maine being beautifully depicted throughout this film. However, the absolute star of this film was Erica Fae playing the main character Abbie, who was such a realistic and inspiring character. To be clear, it is not a grandiose film with a stirring narrative, but simply a depiction of a hardworking woman who lives a simple life. Throughout this film, Abbie is shown to be a multifaceted and deep character, with the subtle acting by Erica Fae truly selling Abbie as a real person. But, there were flaws with this film, with some scenes and portions seemingly being unclear or a bit mundane. Yet, in its entirety, this film is a beautiful depiction of Maine, and also a modest celebration of Abbie, an inspiring protagonist that has admirable characteristics, with her flaws making her more human. Stellar film!
