Good movie (7/10), plus an extra point for the prostitute with three breasts.

This movie is so much fun and never gets old. The right amount of action, laughs, cheese, and Arnie grunts. The best blockbusters are ones that don't take themselves seriously.

Great cheesy Schwarzenegger fun. Funny dialog with some great one liners. Fantastic sci-fi elements, including the 3-breasted prostitute.

Finally a movie where the enemy kick in the balls just because it's the easiest way to make someone go KO. Anyway, even if it's from 1990, it's still a good movie, the special effect/visual effect aged very well.

Watching this movie again as an adult: Damn, Arnold Schwarzenegger is a terrible actor. Most of the time it seems he just happily says the words given without really understanding what he's saying or understanding what's going around him. Fun movie, though!

An amazing sci fi movie although the cg is dated the atmosphere is perfect and the the terrains are beautiful a not so great plot but definitely exciting to watch and I would rewatch oh and extra points because Arnie was kissing Sly's wife lol.

Fast food cinema, but sometimes fast food is really good.

A great story (Philip K. Dick), solid directing and happy meal special effects... what more could you ask for?

Terribly acted splatter gore projected over the canvas of an astonishingly bright, daring sci-fi premise. Director Paul Verhoeven is no stranger to this sort of conundrum, with Robocop immediately preceding this picture and Starship Troopers only a few years down the road, and he squeezes as much carnage and gunfire as he can from Phil Dick's brief initial concept. Oddly enough, it's those moments of unrestrained action and wanton violence that hold the whole thing together while the plot explains itself, expertly blending Verhoeven's knack for tongue-in-cheek parody and reckless self indulgence with Dick's outrageous ideas and cerebral plot twists.

Merging the two creators' distinct sensibilities, which appear to be at odds from a distance, actually results in the creation of a unique third identity that's bigger and better than the sum of its parts. The flick's runaway success is in spite a horrid performance from Arnold Schwarzenegger at his most roided, who grunts and growls in a hilarious near-English while the screenplay does its best to buck him like an untamed bronco. Wild, chaotic, energetic fun with a deep, challenging core.

I think I saw this the last time way back in the 90s. It's still a darn good movie. Sure, you see all the SFX and it's tempting to look back now and calling them inferior. But, back then it was state of the art. And I always thought physical effects stand up better against the test of time.
What you get with Total Recall is an honest action movie in typical Schwarzenegger fashion that has a really good scifi story at it's core. What you don't get is a visually overblown movie with silly humor. If I have to choose between those options I know where my preference is.

Arnie's as quick with the one liners as he his on the draw in this 90's sci-fi blockbuster. The supporting cast are great as their respective characters. The special effects have stood the test of time too.
