Well-made but overly-labored documentary about the US response. It gives the facts and the time line without opining until the end.

The problems I have are that it is too long. It could have achieved the same within the hour. But also that the pandemic is raging harder than ever still in the US... Like Michael Moore during the 2007 economic crash, coming to the screen with a docu too early renders itself obsolete.

For anyone living on the moon this year, this is the best record of the pandemic from a US viewpoint.

This is an amazing piece of work. Nothing but facts here. I found the timeline of how some of the bulletpoints of the 2020 pandemic happened very interesting.
It is so sad to watch how so many people (even friends and family) are blinded to the facts and are so ready to accept the insane propaganda that Trump and his administration throws at us every day.
I assume there will be a part 2 as this ended roughly mid-year information. And so very much more has happened since.
I cant even imagine what a pro-Trump documentary about the pandemic would even look like. I am however pretty sure it would only be about 1 or 2 minutes long.

Intense, fascinating, surprising journey through the first months of the pandemic in the United States. There is a clear Democratic slant (comparisons with the Obama administration are unnecessary), but the story of laziness and lies is scaring. The political agenda is in contradiction with the interests of the citizens. A good investigation, which has the analysis that Alex Gibney has shown in other documentaries.
