A perfectly fine Scooby Foo animated movie with a few chuckle worthy gags and some really solid and fluid animation, especially in body motion and facial expressions. There's a whole extra climax after the mystery's already solved that's unneeded and not nearly as fun as you'd think on paper, and the 'what's Daphne's role' plot is a bit overplayed. But the conclusion of that plot is surprisingly sweet and a fresh twist on it I really liked. But let's be real, there's one thing this movie'll always be known for first and foremost: it made Velma gay, a move decades in the making. What else matters?

I really loved this.

I loved the 1969 animation style (also used in Guess who Scooby Doo). But even though the animation was based on the old style, it was smoother and looked better due to the colouring.

I loved Velma finally being blatantly a lesbian. While I know many producers tried to have her gay, they weren't allowed to make it so blatant and at least leave room for the friendship interpretation. Still, this movie finally allowed Velma to be interested in a woman with the same oomph that straight relationships had. I also love how Daphne's supportive ex-girlfriend vibes.

I love the storyline, I think it's a little different from the usual catching masked villains to find a moral, but I really did think it was interesting. It kind of pushes the franchise forward.
