Happy Madison films are better when they don't rely on potty humor or raunchiness. Which is something I guess Sandler prefers for the ones starring him. So Memoirs mostly has charm without crude and childish humor.
I credit the movie for not trying to get laughs by having Kevin James clumsy and falling all over the place. However, I did wait for moments like that.
I expected a spy version of Paul Blart in another words. Without James being a fat clumsy guy for laughs, there wasn't too many laughs. I don't know though. I enjoyed the movie despite it not being laugh out loud funny nevertheless. The cast was likeable.

Netflix movies should get a genre on their own. Not a great movie sure but a fine one for a cold Monday night.

It's entertaining. Which is what I want from a movie Not the best movie in the world but it's not aiming for that.

@russeren88 if you say that, then why did you give it a 10, I only give the 10/10 score to my favorite movies or those that are just perfect.

@binge-watcher I rate the movie for what it is aiming for. This is not a movie aiming to be a classic or being rewatched again and again. It is something you watch a friday evening and here, you will not be dissapointed.

@russeren88 You are wrong about this, 10/10 score is for movie that is perfect in your opinion(it has nothing to do with being a classic or with being able to watch it again and again, there are movies that I find perfect but wouldn't rewatch until a few years later because I don't want to watch a movie that I already know the story), but you didn't find this movie perfect because it obviously wasn't so why give it a 10. You still haven't answered my question.

@binge-watcher I think that there are different aims for movies. Some try to make you laugh some try to make you cry, I don't feel the need to rate these om the same scale. If i watch s movie that is supposed to be fun, and it is - then the movie is a great success. This movie has a "new" story, thag I havent seen in a while, humour, action and a good development. It hits what it aims for. I will not rate cartoons for kids by the criteries that you are mentioning. For me they are lousy tv. Should I go and vote 0 on all of them, since I will never rewatch them and they are not entertaining? Anyways, even if my vote does not make sence, its still my vote.

@russeren88 look, how I rate is based on the Trakttv scale, if you gave it a 10 it means you thought it was totally ninja/ one of your favorites. Me, when I see a movie that is excellent but not my favorite I give it a 9/10, and when it was great but not excellent and not my favorite I give it an 8/10 which is what I gave to this movie, it should have been a 7 but since this movie like you said is something more original that probably hasn't been tried before, I give 1 more point. The reason why the rating is important is because it makes it easier in a few years to find your favorite movies if you look at the ratings you gave and filter them in a specific order, also it is easier to recommend movies to people.

Stupid, predictable and bad production. I don't have anything good to say about this movie. Ah well, the start is nice, but then it becomes silly and very boring pretty fast.
Don't watch, it'll be a waste of time.

Netflix need better quality control when funding movies. This is marginally better than the Adam Sandler efforts for the streaming service but not by much. Delete from your watchlist.
