The acting is weak and forced, the characters have no chemistry and the story line is weak at best. None of the characters are relatable or likeable, the only likeable was Alice and she's more of a comic relief.

Twilight shines brightest once the credits roll.

Though often dismissed as a vampire love story (even though most vampire films are, going all the way back to Dracula), Twilight uses it’s romantic themes to explore interesting social and philosophical issues. The story follows a young girl named Bella Swan who moves to Forks, Washington, to live with her father and soon falls for a mysterious boy at her high-school, but she soon starts to suspect that he may be a vampire after he displays superhuman abilities. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are perfectly cast as the leads (playing no small part in the film’s success), and give impressive performances. Also, director Catherine Hardwicke brings an artful look to the film while maintaining a strong, steady pace. Additionally, Carter Burwell has composed an eloquent and beautiful score that does an extraordinary job of complementing the emotional core of the story. There are some script issues, but overall Twilight is a well-crafted and compelling drama that connects with audiences.

We have seen Twilight again, and I liked something more, although the constipated face of Bella and Robert throughout the film goes to the character in 1, not in the others

When this movie came out, everyone was talking about it and I remember the girls in my class were in love with it and with the male characters. I have personally never been interested in watching it but I have decided to give it a try and see for myself what all the fuss was about.
I liked the music and the visuals are okay but it is a boring love story full of clichés : the awkward new girl in school is attracted to the mysterious and popular guy who rejects her and then she discovers his secret...... he is a vampire !!! The acting is bad and the vampires are not frightening, they don't have fangs and they sparkle in the sunlight (WTF ?).

When it first came out I was so excited, I really enjoyed it first time round. Now I am a little unsure what I found so enchanting about it.

Bella is 17 and she drives a car??!! isnt it ilegal?!!

after all these years, it's still a fine movie. yes, it's corny, and most depicted relationships are not the healthiest and cross several boundaries.. but it's fun and escapist and comforting, if only because it reminds me of simpler times. the cinematography and the twilight filter if you will are mildly iconic and like it or not they work for painting the mood and the setting of the story. and the soundtrack is a 10/10.
