Looking at the cover art, let me take a guess at the story, shall we? 300 years after the events of the original 47 Ronin. it is now 2002 and feminism have taken over what is now a no longer Feudal Japan. The new 47 Ronin are mostly all women and lead by a woman who is angry some dude ate her sushi without her consent. Hey I was right, online reviews says it's now 3 rival Samurai tribes: all lead by women and composed of women Samurai. What a steaming direct to video :_shit

Hmm. I feel like I watched a different movie. And that at least one of the existing reviewers didn't watch it all It isn't great, but is definitely better than many (I say that after having watched a string of 1990s martial arts movies). And it is definitely better than the current Kung Fu series, although it had a similar vibe I was pretty impressed with the fights, although obviously pretty unrealistic, and no (significant) wire work Maybe it worked for me because I had such low expectations...it is, after all, a brain dead martial arts movie with a little magic - but in this case, a few reasonable fights thrown in (rather than waiting until the last 20 minutes)
