Very beautifully shot film about family, death and succession planning, set in the Bolivian Highlands. Some almost Western tropes at times.

[BFI LFF'22] There is a representation of the climate change that directly affects the progressive desertification, but the film is enriched more as a reflection of the Quechua identity and the gradual loss of a world. With a powerful image like the Sergio Leone's dusty westerns, there is a spaciousness to the landscape but also an intimacy to the home. It's almost an apocalyptic story about an inevitable extinction.
