Following on from my stle of review from previous entry, _V/H/S/2_, I'll just bne giving my quick thoughts segment by segment, rather than the whole thing (star rating is still for _Viral_ overall though).

**Vicious Circles**: Of the various framing devices found across the _V/H/S_ franchise, "Vicious Circles" is the best/makes the most sense, but it wasn't great or anything.

**Dante the Great**: The most fun of the entries across the whole series. It does stand out in a bad way a little bit, firstly because it's a combination of fake "found footage" and fake "documentary" which... Like it's weird to have sat through all these shorts and then suddenly have a guy giving an interview to a camera crew, and secondly because I think calling it horror is a stretch. More of a... Fantasy-action-comedy with some heavy gore right at the end.

**Parallel Monsters**: Has the same problems as the previous film's "Safe Haven" entry, but fewer pros to counterbalance it. Could probably be explored in a full length movie to better effect, but even that I'm unsure about.

**Bonestorm**: The silliest and worst acted of the entire franchise, which truly is saying something. Would probably make more sense as something outside of a _V/H/_S film, say... playing silently on a loop on a TV in a skateboard shop, for instance.

**Gorgeous Vortex**: The "hidden" _V/H/S: Viral_ entry is an odd one. The only thing it has going for it is also the dumbest thing about it. It's a 15 minute movie that is entirely aesthetic in value, the first and only entry with good video quality. But this is supposed to be a collection of crappily filmed, glitchy footage, copied over to VHS tapes - so in what universe does it make sense?

_Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product._

That was fucked up...

Not because it was particularly scary or disturbing... well, wait a minute.

In one way, the film is disturbing. Because in contrast to the first and second part, this one is... with a **HUGE** distance the most unnecessary and above all the most arbitrary of them. Not speaking about the (in relation to the other two movies) bad CGI.

Not only that the main plot is super confusing, but also that everything I've seen here today is so absurd, and I've never seen it before...

This time, we have on sale:
A demon-possessed cloak that feeds on humans and seemingly forces the wearer to do evil things.

A hobbyist building a portal to a mirror world inhabited by weird-penis/vagina-sex "humans" performing strange rituals (this one just gave me brain fucks)

A group of skaters who go to Tijuana to produce a video where they stupidly stumble into some kind of skeleton-cult-army, and they also unbelievably kill skeleton after skeleton

Admittedly the last, as far as I remember, is the first time in the series that anyone survived on a tape from the "victims"...
Yes, and then we still have the main "plot", which I convince myself that it wants to be socially critical in some way, but is still completely illogical, unrealistic and not very revealing any answers.

I personally see this film more as a waste of time, but if you're in the mood to see things that you can't even imagine on the heaviest drugs, then this film will serve you well.
