Bloodless and not very scary. Still, the Bronx setting adds a new setting to the vampire genre, and its quite a fun watch.

Pretty fun, but not outstanding; reflects on older properties like _The Lost Boys_ (1987) in a hood setting like _Attack the Block_ (2011) and a few awkward moments thrown in. One of the kids is seen reading Salem's Lot (Stephen King novel), and they watch _Blade_ (1998). The vampires here aren't very bright (no pun intended) and are defeated easily. I was a bit surprised to see Sarah Gadon though, who I last saw and admired very much in season two of _Castle Rock_.

The movie could've been better it it weren't for such poor special effects on the vampires
Still it's light hearted , funny and worth checking it out

How can a comedy/horror be missing both?

Total waste of Whigam and Gadon, they are better than this.

A witty and fun vampire film. That’s more laughs than scares. I am sure it’s better than Hubie Halloween, that comes out tomorrow. Due to that voice Sandler is doing, alone.

0 blood and not too scary, a film for the weekend's desktop. Still, the Bronx scene, and as the community at least according to the film means, is united despite any adversity that may arise.

Fun not funny. Very similar idea to Attack the Block.

I rather enjoyed this and loved the nods to other horror comedies (Fright Night and The Lost Boys being the two most blatant ones). Though it lacked suspense, it did have some laugh out loud parts. Overall, this was more of a story about three friends.

It's kind of the East Coast version of the Lost Boys. Light and breezy, but still entertaining. I would recommend this movie to parents looking for a good starter film to introduce their kids to the genre. Or as a good palate cleanser after you just got done watching something super intense like Last House on the Left.
