Massy, Absorbing, Exhilarating 

Vikram Vedha is undoubtedly a big , brawling commercial potboiler with exhilarating performances and an absorbing cat and mouse chase laid in the form of an action drama. Presented as a hindi remake of the 2017 blockbuster of the same name which I have missed intentionally. Pushkar-Gayathri's film is a refreshing take on the battle between right and wrong, told flamboyantly through two fine actors. The characters development is beautifully done and are extremely well fleshed out. The thumping background score, the raw and hard-hitting action set pieces and well laid plot all boils down to making Vikram Vedha the much needed push for the masses to go to theatres.


Both Saif and Hrithik have given superlative performances and are brilliant throughout. Saif as Vikram,  a rough, strong headed police officer who sleeps well thinking he hasn't killed any innocent man and Hrithik as Vedha a self righteous gangster who thinks he does the right thing always. Instead of playing a Greek god, Hrithik, for once, attempts an Indian anti-hero in a larger-than-life scenario and consistently delivers, both in terms of performance as well as screen presence. 

Overall, Vikram Vedha is for the masses and a worthy big screen entertainer. A true commercial extravaganza which offers a gritty style of storytelling, powerhouse lead performances in addition to their screen presence, a chest-thumping score and exceptional one liners. Even if you have seen the original, you won't want to miss such a badass bollywood flick .
