Watching the film in 2006 - "This film is hilarious!!! I love it!!! It's like watching what was going on in the restaurant from Office Space!!"


Watching the film in 2021- "OMG!! I can relate to these people. The constant flow of negativity from people who don't have an ounce of compassion about the people they are treating like shit!! Oh yeah- give that burger an extra bit of trouser spices!!!"
Some of the most draining work, these days, are jobs where you are working with the public - at a time when going full "Karen" is almost the norm. Whether is it as a waitstaff at a restaurant, sales associate in retail, or taking calls from the public while working on phones at a call center - people forget that sometimes, the customer is wrong and getting upset will NOT make it better.
(Honestly, at this time, I will reward those who DON'T feel the need to escalate things, instead of those who do dial it up to 11).

That being said - there is a reason I have the Ross Rule that goes "Dont piss off people to whom you just gave your full name, date of birth, and SSN, whose who are bringing you food or drink, or the people administering the knock out gas before ANY surgical procedure"
