Like a climb up a difficult mountain, the film is sometimes tough to wade through (as if walking through deep snow), but there are rewards for the patient viewer. The ending packs an emotional punch too.

Mediocre movie. Scenery is beautiful. Quote: "trip to become a battle for survival when they encounter a grizzly bear". They saw one grizzly who looked at them and walked away. (aren't bares supposed to hibernate in the winter??? These kind of stupid mistakes in movies can drive me up the wall.) The battle for survival begins when the stupid kid doesn't put on the safety and shoots his dad in the leg. The dad supposed to be a survival expert, why didn't he make sure the safety was on? It took father and son one day to walk 5 miles into the woods however, it takes them 5 or 6 days to walk out. I mean c'mon!!!

Rated 5 for the scenery, the acting is bland and the movie is mostly dull and very slow paced, the ending was also unsatisfactory for me. I wouldn't watch it again.

Movie takes time to build and the pay off is at the most satisfactory. It felt slow given its 95 minute runtime. The flashback scenes with the dad were good since they gave gravitas to the other scenarios. The dad-son-granddad relationship fit well in the hunting backdrop and provided a satisfying ending (
Not really though
). The hunting scenes are also well shot and does get interesting as the movie progresses. It's not a must watch but there are still things that you can take away from it.
