A super hero villian who succeeds with their diabolical plan to destroy the world and ironically save it at the same time. WHAT? So much love for the creativity of this movie.

I just watched the "ultimate cut" of this movie, and it was an _Experience_
Although it's a bit too long and some people might not have time or patience for that it's still worth it. Every moment of this I loved even the weird and dark Cartoon story in between!

I waited to watch the ultimate cut and so glad i did, was really in the right frame of mind to watch this one night and has to be the best comic book movie ever made.

Has become one of my favorite movies of all time.

overlong, boring, bloated and not a fun watch!

The movie is not bad as many says. I watched the extended cut and it had some downs here and there but it was beautifully demonstrated on the screen. It was a bit too long and was side tracked because of the different storylines taking place but the acting and choreography of the fights and all was done properly. 7/10

This film has been debated endlessly and theres really nothing terribly new that I can add. I did read the graphic novel before I saw the film and I thought Zack Snyder's Watchmen was an accurate retelling of it. Snyder's choice of Adrian Viedt's world-changing event was one that made sense and it was the only major departure from the novel. The pace of the film was slow but the novel is a deeply layered undertaking so I had no issue with that. The effects were terrific and I thought the choices of actors for Nite Owl and Rorschach were great. Dr. Manhattan though could have been portrayed as more distant and hard. He seemed a softer character than I considered him to be in the novel. The Comedian was also spot-on. I appreciated the inclusion of the tip of the hat to the original Outer Limits series that appears near the end of the film (and the novel for that matter). My final thought is that I really enjoyed Watchmen even though some may lose patience with it as its not a clichéd superhero movie.
