The film has one decent scene. The rest is kinda boring.

A good film I’ve never heard about. Keeps you engaged till the end, although the final is a bit predictable.

This is a little unsung gem, I loved this film and everyone acts so great in this as the film is filled with tension but it is also filled with style as well. I'd love to say it's flawless but the issue I had was there was not enough Mark Wahlberg (Joseph Grusinsky) in this film but he was great in all the scenes he was in but Joaquin Phoenix (Bobby Green) absolutely steals the show and I found every scene he was in felt so natural.

The film is about to brothers who have definitely taken completely different paths in life with one being the manager of a night club and the other being a high ranking police officer investigating people involved with the night club, it sounds like a simple premise but honestly, you will find yourself completely invested to find out what is gonna happen next.

Don't wanna spoil anything, so all I will say is give this film a watch and enjoy :)

La séquence du film: la poursuite en voiture sous la pluie qui s'achève par la mort de R.Duvall père de Bobby (J.Phoenix) du point de vue de ce dernier. La fin est un peu convenue: Bobby qui tue le méchant russe dans des roseaux enfumés et son entrée dans la police. La mise en scène du début ne manque pas d'ampleur avec les tubes qui s'enchainent (Blondie , The clash...) illustrant les fêtes nocturnes dans ses mouvements de foule.

I tend to like most projects that Joaquin Phoenix is involved in, and We Own The Night is no exception.

We Own The Night might come off as rather brutal, but below that there's a story with depth and characters you care about. This might be Director James Grays finest work to date.

Well cast and well acted, We Own The Night is a good watch and would cater to most police drama fans.
