Why, why, why is Kristen Wiig not a gigantic star. I loved this film.  This is probably my second favorite film of hers (the fantastic Skeleton Key being the best).

I expected more. This movie is extremely boring and not funny. I watched it only because of Kristen Wiig yet it didn't help at all.

A truly strange film from the brilliant mind of Elliot Laurence. Great cast but I just couldn’t engage with it. I pushed through only because I have such respect for the talent. I give this film a 5 (meh) out of 10. [Dramedy]

Exactly what I expected it to be. It was partially funny but mostly because I like Kristen Wiig. The story was interesting but the character development was poor. Fun songs ans sets though!

Welcome to the world of Alice, a mentally unstable lady who demonstrates her battles with mental illness on the small screen, whether she realises it or not! Not quite a comedy, though it does have its humorous moments. Instead this is a warmly observed study of a woman looking to make sense of her life despite the issues that debilitate her.

Pretty good movie - not a classic or anything. Has some good funny moments and doesn't drag and become boring.

Bonus: Kristen Wiig naked for a couple of seconds :-)

Ever wonder what UHF might have been like if made by Tim & Eric? Here's your answer. At times you'll laugh uncontrollably. At others you'll cringe and wonder if this is some sort of exploitation of mental illness. It's a hard film to like, but one you can appreciate, especially with such a stellar cast (even though a few folks--Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Tudyk in particular--are totally wasted). Wiig is spectacular. Wes Bentley and James Marsden play off each other well. Linda Cardellini is perfect, but needed more screen time. Everyone manages to ride the not-quite-a-drama/not-quite-a-comedy line pretty well, which gives this film a very odd overall feeling, but not enough that it should be avoided.
