What is a woman? You are either Male, Female or Hermaphrodite the rest is made up. You either have a penis or a vagina... If you cut of your penis and take hormones you are still a male with a cut off penis that's taking female hormones. Two of the chromosomes (the X and the Y chromosome) determine your sex as male or female when you are born. They are called sex chromosomes: Females have 2 X chromosomes. Males have 1 X and 1 Y chromosome. If there are extra chromosomes its very rare and a defect. What is this clown world? You can't argue with facts...

I have nothing against transgenders but let's keep it real! It's the same when I would identify myself as a male cat while you clearly see a human female. And I can't expect anyone to change reality and enter my imaginary delusional bubble and call me a male cat. Just because you feel like something doesn't make it reality. Just like Martina Big isn't a black woman, Dennis Avner isn't a tiger and Rodrigo Alves isn't a Ken Doll. But again if you are a male and you really want to live your life as a female go do what makes you happy! Live your life as a transgender! But don't claim to be something you are not just because you feel like it.

I really wanted to quote this:

Matt: "I want to understand reality and get to the truth."
Professor Dr. Patrick Grzanka: Yea, I'm really uncomfortable with that language "getting to the truth" because that sounds deeply transphobic to me and if you keep going we are going to stop the interview. The word truth is condescending and rude"

@sopherian When reality is transphobic, then transphobia becomes fantasy?

There were several shocking moments in the interviews that opened my eyes to how damaging the trans movement has become - both to children and to society in general. But the dramatization parts were condescending and Matt Walsh is not likable at all. This did do a good job at exposing transgenderism, it's community, the "medical professionals," and society's dogmatic/authoritarian agenda pushing. Men are biological males. Women are biological females. And society has gone off the deep end by allowing this craziness get this far. Got it. But why alienate potential supporters of your documentary by pushing the idea of sexist gender norms? He insisted that girls naturally want to play with dolls and boys want to be hunters. He conflated societal expectations with genetic traits. The final scene was so obtusely sexist I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a joke or not: there's his wife in the kitchen, wearing an apron, making her husband a sandwich. And she needed her big strong husband to open a jar for him. Women can absolutely take on these traditional norms if that's what they want, but these gender norm conforming scenes nearly ruined the whole message of the film. The better documentary would have pushed the idea that men and women can exhibit both masculine and feminine traits and that's fine. But a man enjoying feminine things doesn't make him a woman and a woman enjoying masculine things doesn't make her a man. And no, you shouldn't feel compelled nor encouraged by society to surgically dismember and chemically castrate yourself just because you like different things. And you shouldn't be allowed to declare yourself a member of the opposite sex just because you feel like it. Because at the end of the day, the identity that matters most is not your gender identity, it's your individual identity.

_What is a Woman_ is an entertaining and thought-provoking documentary centered around the titular question of "what is a woman."
The production style and interview angle reminded me a lot of Michael Moore's _Bowling for Columbine_. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has interest about the topic of transgenderism. That's it, that's the review.

That being said, this is obviously going to be a polarizing documentary - without a doubt that is the intention. I would remind people to be ever mindful of ad hominems, and poisoning the well (which I have already seen pertaining to this). Not liking someone is not a counterpoint to their position. At no point did I ever see the documentary as mean spirited or bigoted. With Matt Walsh asking simple questions of people - either academics, people on the street or an African tribe - it did have the feel of interviews one would see on The Daily Show, but this seemed to be due to the interviewee's hesitation or inability to answer.
The most interesting moment for me was when the topic of Alfred Kinsey, and John Money came up; the former, of course, being a big name, but the latter I had never heard of. I would have liked to hear much more about them.
As already stated, _What is a Woman_ is going to upset some people, but I hope, if nothing else, it reminds everyone that the danger is not with what people can say, but with what people cannot say. How we grow and learn is by listening to each other. If this documentary had been what some people may fear it is - that is to say, a transphobic smear piece - I could still watch it and entertain its ideas without accepting them.

Post script: Just because I'm me, I have to mention that there is a moment in here where a goat's throat is slit. It was an unnecessary addition to the documentary.
