I really enjoyed this. I especially liked how the entire movie was from the verhicle's perspective and didn't follow the lead characters into buildings, etc. Frank Grillo did a great job in a primarily solo performance too. You could really feel the anxiety.

Unpopular opinion: _Wheelman_ is miles better than _Drive_.

This is pretty much a throwaway Netflix movie of which there seems to be an abundance of lately. I guess the main character is a really good driver who needs the cash and gets himself and his daughter into trouble. There's nothing here I haven't seen many times before. It's well done enough, I just wish I had spent the time watching something less ordinary.

really love this movie probably one of the very best Netflix original movies that is not based on some existing IP the entire movie is told from the perspective of the wheelman we never leave the car even when the characters do we still follow them from a POV angle as if we are in the car the whole time it's a really interesting concept that really makes the movie feel more riveting and engaging

the entire movie takes place within a couple hours and things just getting more and more hectic we never really stopped

It was good as long as it kept moving, but then it ran out of gas at the end of the second act.

Pff, nah. That movie wasn't good. It also wasn't the worst but I think the movie can't convince me in anything.
The story was very weak and not well-written. Everything seems so random to me and I can't imagine the thoughts of the writer.
The characters and character development is poor. You can say to anything in the movie that it was poor or not special.
The sounds, the colors, the story, the characters, the plot (?), the ending, the message (family is important I guess?), the name of the movie... nothing special.
It has no real action - that's bad for an action movie.

On the road a little too much with not a good deal of action with a poor back bumper finish but it was watchable with some entertaining parts with an okay driver.

A similar conceit to Locke, except with more bullets and car chases. Not a bad film, though it runs out of gas towards the end.

"Speed and timing. Speed... and timing. This is about both."

This apply also to this movie. The plot is pretty straightforward, but the reason why this film is very good lie in the direction, so clear and smart. The idea was to live the events closely, almost like you are on the passenger's seat, or maybe like you are the car. Lot of claustrophobic close ups, blurred shots, very minimal soundtrack, limited dialogues, but everything works and contributes to set an adrenalinic mood in a refined and tasteful way.

This is the proof that for a good action movie more than blow things up, you need to to be a talented director (yes Michael Bay, I'm talking to you!).
