This is utter garbage. I don't typically blast movies, but this is a complete waste of time.
What is the movie? It's a mystery about a father trying to find his daughter's killer. I have seen other gialli where a civilian is playing amateur detective, but at least with this one the motivation makes sense, seeing as he's a parent.
The first problem is I hated our lead, Franco. He leaves his daughter with, maybe, a dozen other kids, to play outside. No other adults in sight. What's dad doing? Banging some broad. Wait, was she supposed to be his wife? The movie made it seem like he was a widower. Anyway, father of the year here doesn't notice his daughter is missing until hours later. We then follow him over the course of... a week... maybe... as he "solves the mystery." What does he do? Well, he talks to people. Who? I don't know. How did he find those people? Unclear. Then he'll just randomly show up in places. Where? I don't know. How did he get in? Unclear. There's a suggestion that this is part of a bigger conspiracy, but it is never developed. People sometimes talk about plot holes when the term does not apply; this movie has plot holes... major ones.
I'm almost in awe of what an incoherent mess this is. The editing is a frantic mix is hard cuts, and shots that linger for too long. The dialog is terrible. The lighting is so dark in some scenes that I barely knew what was happening. There are no characters, only red herrings. The main piece of music gets annoying quickly: sounds like someone was way too excited to use their delay pedal. The only other time we get a different piece of music, it's completely inappropriate for the scene. There's a random moment where Franco plays ping pong. The "big twist" at the end, with the killer, was predictable, and had likely already been done before this was made.
I'm not one to complain about nudity, but the moments here just seem gross, and unnecessary. This may be the first time I've ever had that thought.
So, yeah, easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Finally, George Lazenby is unrecognizable here. This movie was made only three years after he played James Bond.
