Somewhere between "Xtro wtf" and "Xtro gross"

Lots of laugh out loud moments starting with the ridiculous look they gave the creature (clearly someone walking on four legs backwards), a grown man being birthed, people going back to bed all wet from sweat after the sweatiest nightmare ever, pimple sucking, yummy snake eggs, a questionnable clown and granny's doing some snake juice... and so many more fun scenes, which is what makes this a decently entertaining B-movie watch.

Don't expect anything more though, it's entertaining but that's it. The practical effects are nothing to praise, they're ok. Acting is as bad as expected but the dialogue is on a whole other level of terrible, even by B-movie standards. Don't even get me started on the editing. It has a story, I think? There's at least a good choice of score. A bit let down by the third act and ending, needed more weird fun and gore.

Very trashy, bizarre little horror film. The low budget is apparent, but they make the most of what they have with the effects and some strange moments. It's a curiosity, not a must see.

I can't believe all of the positive reviews for this mess. How high were the people that made this? Its disjointed scenes, especially in the second half, made absolutely no sense. I get that the abducted father comes back to Earth as an alien to retrieve his son. But then he, with help from a midget clown and its egg dispensing nanny machine, leave little Xtros to seed the Earth. I think?

I love practical effects. Even the old, 1950's Sci-Fi movies with the stiff monsters with no range of movement. But the only effects I cared about in "Xtro" were the first few minutes that featured the crab-walking alien in the woods. I can't even bring myself to give it credit for being one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.
