Netflix have a habit of saying 'yes' to every movie project that comes their way. Note to the execs: It's okay to say 'no,' especially to something as generic as this movie.

Rather unoriginal, though the cast make it more likeable than it would otherwise be.

'Yes Day' is exactly what it says on the tin, you will not be shocked to find out what the plot is. It plays out in the most predictable way possible, even the hearty moments are a little too sickly at times. With that said, there are some minor decent bits.

Jennifer Garner (Allison) and Édgar Ramírez (Carlos) work well enough together, though Garner definitely stands out more. Jenna Ortega (Katie) does alright in her role, one that isn't too dissimilar to Isabela Merced's in 'Instant Family' - as is the whole film, in actual fact. 'Yes Man', ft. Jim Carrey, also holds slight similarities as you might expect. Both those films are far better, fwiw.

Not one I'll be revisiting, but I could see families in particular having a fine time with this. Each to their own, of course.

Ignore the cynics. This is a sweet family film you can watch with your pre-teens. It shows a family's love for each other and the resilience of the family bond. It's never going to win an Oscar, but every parent and child can relate to this film and that is an achievement. Besides it has Jennifer Gardner and she literally breaks the cute meter.

Watch it as a family and enjoy!

I'm saying this as an adult: this movie should be classified as Horror/Sci Fi..
I was terrified seeing this movie, seeing 100k damage to car and home, seeing a kid say "You're right" to parent.. almost peed my pants here.

Another Netlix original movie with a generic formula and a generic family. The film ends up being saved by the good performances and Jeniffer Garner's charisma that motivates the viewer to finish the film. Certainly a title that deserves to be seen only once.

Why the girl part of the cast is a compilation of the most retarded women I've ever seen? I thank the male part because, literally try to save the film, Garner, Ortega and Carganilla bring the film down so much, not recomended

I can see this as a nice family movie. Something for the whole family I suppose. But as a movie itself, it’s very poor. The characters are a bit unrealistic. The mother is supposed to be portrayed as this strict, dictator mother. But really, she isn’t anymore strict then the average, strict parent. The comedy in this movie is very...‘Nickelodeon teen sitcom-esk.’ It’s not very funny.
The kid characters are also very...eh.

I can see how it would be a nice movie to see with the family and all. But overall, I would not watch it again...

4/10

This is a sequel from Little Fires Everywhere. The rebel daughter of Reese Whiterspoon convinces the daughter of the cop of the Undoing into an elaborate plan so that they can go alone to a music festival. You can also say this is a prequel to Babysitters 2.
Botton line: a nice family movie that you should not watch with your kids, otherwise you will end up opening the car window in the car wash
