Well, here I am writing my first full and carefully written review. I do this because this movie surprised me in a positive way and I think it deserves full attention, despite the reviews, on this site, of this movie labeling it as a bad movie, a typical Netflix movie.

First of all, I was going in with zero expectation of liking this movie. I am a person who likes suspense and thriller movies; romance movies rarely appeal to my person and I almost never memorize their plot. Almost all of the romance movies I've rated in my profile may be rated a bit too high, because I don't remember their details, even the most important ones. However, that did not happen in this movie.

Secondly, I would like to talk about the cast. I have every respect for Reese Witherspoon, for some reason, I still love Just Like Heaven to this day. However, my respect for Ashton Kutcher is significantly less. I have always considered his films "silly" and even not funny. Sometimes actors are labeled just for these types of silly movies, yet a lot of them just need to be taken seriously, perhaps exactly as happened as Adam Sandler and Zac Efron. Ashton's performance in this film exceeded my expectations. The role of a role model for a kid with an absent father actually suits him very well.

Thirdly, I would like to point out that the film relies on very few characters. This aspect makes a film easily boring, but this is not the case. How obvious the story is and the desire for it to progress in the most ideal way makes you want to keep watching the film.

Fourth, I would like to deny that this film is just another typical Netflix romcom. It has absolutely nothing in common with for example You People or Look Both Ways.

I believe it deserves a rating of 4 out of 5.
