Growing up, I used to watch Yugioh on the TV before school. So many people have memories of shows like that and nostalgia blurs the vision and coming back you realise how bad the shows actually were. Well, I actually thought this movie was really great as far as anime movies go. It's both better than One Piece: Gold and Boruto: The Movie. The english voice cast was top notch, same actors from the series, and the animation/visual detail was incredible, much higher quality than all previous movies and the anime series itself. The movie was so funny, I think it was parodying itself at times. Seto was way more cocky than before, and there were so many funny dialogue lines by Yugi and Joey. I definitely think it's worth a watch, a really great movie overall.

@catsy I almost agreed with you until you said it was better than one piece gold, the disrespect.

Without a doubt my favorite thing about this Movie is it brought all the previous voice actors back together to what I consider a wonderful conclusion to the Original Yugioh Franchise. Was it absolutely astonishing? No, not by a mile. But I must admit this movie had a ton of fan-service that always makes me happy to see. Of course this movie isn't for everyone but that doesn't mean it's a fun experience. It's actually much more mature than I actually expected which in my ideal that is pretty nice, especially for long time fans. It's very nicely animated as well, and always a treat is that I think they did a immensely wonderful performance with all the Characters. Sure some fall apart but I think Dan Green did a wonderful job as Yugi Moto again. Of course all speculating of how I think they did a great job, I would say the only flop of this film is it's more directed to the fans, though that doesn't mean you can't get into it. It's plentiful with wonderful characters, unique backstories, and amazing performances. This is defiantly a watch for anybody interested!

The final score I gave this movie was a 6.6 but I rounded up to a 7. I love that they brought back the original voice actors for the movie I thought it was amazing to hear them after so long. The art work and designs were beautiful and as a person who still plays the training card game today the nostalgia and interest are definitely there. But the pacing of the story was all over the place, I did not care for the uniqueness of the dimension dueling it literally felt kike the writes were like lets keep making them activate traps over and over and then whoops the protagonist will win as always. Because of that, I its not seen as a perfect movie in my eyes but it was indeed enjoyable.

Now, when I rate this 4 out of 5, I'm giving it points as a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan. I grew up on the original series and the card game, so it was just a real treat to get to see all the original voice actors come back to finally do a sequel about 13 years later. It was like stepping into a time-warp, hearing the old music and seeing all of our favorite characters back.

One thing I will say is, the movie is definitely not all about Yugi or his friends. Aigami serves as the movie's lead antagonist, and it's more about his failure to his friends and his eventual consumption of powerful evil, blinded by his own hate. The movie plays it more dramatic and I think it works very well. It's a drastic turn, but the new characters combine nicely with the old.

I'd say if you're a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! in the slightest, you'll get a lot of fun out of this movie. Lots of great duels and set pieces and it's great to see everyone back again just one more time.

Great movie. Probably a favorite of mine. Great send off to the original series.

If this movie doesn't make Kaiba the best character ever in Yu Gi Oh!, then I don't know what does!
