Louis Barker

Born in Chorlton, Manchester in England, Louis found their love for film at a very young age with classics such as Star wars, Godzilla and 100's of other movies. They didn't discover their passion to create films until covid lockdown when they started a youtube channel and learned how to use premiere pro to edit the videos and wanted a career in video editing. After studying TV and film in college, Louis learned to love nearly all aspects of filmmaking and wanted to do them all themselves leading them to peruse a course in independent filmmaking at University. Louis has worked on many projects, from Black Note as a camera assistant to the short horror trailer 'Ezekiel'. They directed their first short film in 2022, 'Apathy', a finalist in the 2023 Aldridge Junior Art Prize. And in 2023 directing 'Sellouts' a short sci fi action film which is their biggest project yet.
