Ray Strachan

Ray Starchan was born in Marion,Indiana and grew up in a very religious family. He said in an interview “I grew up in church, seven days a week. The service was very music-driven, so the pastor created a performing-arts school down the street. There was drama, dance, and choir rehearsal—it was my training.” At the age of 10, Starchan moved to Atlanta,Georgia to pursue an acting career. After trying everything from backup dancing to singing, he Finally got his first role in The Pinkertons As John Bell. He was born as Tyveon Lemont Ray. He got the idea for his name change from a friend they thought it would be cool to put his last name as his first name now for Strachan they went to Mexico and seen it on a sign at a convenient store , as he told Entertainment Tonight.
