Some background: This version is the popular original version of 2Moons: The Series that had a strong following from fans. However, the production company was not happy/did not like the performances/quality of the original and completely replaced the cast. They filmed a new version of the same story...just with new cast. I haven't watched the new version but wanted to give background if anyone is worried about the difference between season 1 and season 2 (which is the redo version).

This show is a TV series version of the Thai BL novel by same name. This show had enjoyable moments - the friends of the main couple were fun and true highlights - but overall lacked substance in other areas. It could be due to the format of stretching the series over so many episodes that the show felt hollow at points and also felt like it took a long time to get through. (I had to take a long break and only continued watching for Ming & Kit).

The main couple completely missed the mark for me. They had some cute moments where they are shy around each other...but 90% of their relationship was spent with three feet in-between them, no touching, little discussion below surface levels that could have helped build depth, and the only kisses (unsure if more than 2) were at the very end of series. My less than lukewarm reaction to the main couple is crazy when compared to how much I enjoyed the second couple - took my review from 4 to 6 (they deserve more points but overall the series doesn't deserve it). They were just as popular (or more) as the main couple. Ming is the lead's confident friend who chases after the love interest's friend, Kit. Kit played hard to get and like he hated the attention and Ming loved following him around. Their chemistry was really good and I've watched compilations of just their story more than once...it's that good; it's light-hearted, sweet, and dumb.

Would I recommend? As a whole - no. If you do want to try it out, the first few episodes are the better episodes of the series so you might enjoy them and want to continue on and enjoy it enough you don't feel the stretch in the middle of trying to fill out 16 episodes.
