This was one of the best shows ever made in this genre. The timer between the ad breaks, the phone ringtone inside the CTU and Jack Bauer's voice, which is calm and calculated, yet always with a sense of urgency. Just by hearing an episode's soundtrack, anyone watching this show as it was aired 20 years ago would have been able to say without a doubt that it was from an episode of 24. As I recall, the first 3 seasons were the best. I lost track of 24 a couple of seasons later.I don't think I really paid any attention to the show after 2006.

Today (June 2023), I came to know that they have done a Season 9 of 24, back in 2010. So, I had to revisit and see what Jack Bauer has been up to, since we parted ways a couple of decades ago. Let me tell you. This show has held up well, even after two decades. I started watching Season 9 (Live Another Day). I might end up binging this from Season 1 onwards, for old times sake.

PS - I used to have a major crush on Audrey (played by Kim Raver) back in the day. I'm so glad she's in Season 9.Because two firkin decades later, nothing has changed. I might binge watch this thing just for her. Such a gorgeous lady. Sorry Jack Bauer! :joy:

Counter-terrorism operative Jack Bauer, the guy every man secretly wanted to be, kicks ass! Jack doesn't follow the rules, he just does what's right. Even when asking for a saw to cut off the head of a man he'd just shot, in CTU headquarters no less, so he can take it to some bad guys to prove he's a bad guy too. This guy does it all, gets in every kind of scrape possible and shouts "Damb it!" a lot.
