This is one series that grew better and better from what was a really mediocre start. It started as story with potential, and grew into something with some really dark twists as horrifying as anything else I have seen out of Japan (thankfully not presented as gruesomely). By the time I was getting to E5, I was binge watching..and left cursing at the cliff hanger ending.

It would be much more effective if they put all the groups together, but if you are trying to repopulate and need groups of seven you would have 5 of each group be young females of very different genetic make up.

@kanootcha Well actually selecting the groups in different ways and spreading them makes sense. You can't predict how the environment is going to be in the future, putting all the groups in the same place would be too risky. Having more female wouldn't help considering the social background, a balanced group approximately 1:1 is how they used to live, so better to avoid conflicts and more than enough to repopulate. The different genetic background is also unnecessary as they said that other countries are doing their own version of the 7 seeds, so Japan only worries about continuing the Japanese.

It's a 7/10 more based on future hope. I like the plot and i have a thing for survival things. However is not particularly good in anything, neither particularly bad imo. I'd say that there are a lot of better anime to watch, and at the moment this second season was kind of ok, but still not enough, i'm losing track of characters and if this is the piece of the story waiting even just 6 months between seasons would be too much. If you can just wait until the end (no idea when) and then consider it based on future feedback. If like me you have nothing to do in quarantine then you can binge it in 8 hours.

I'm rating this after only watching the first episode. It's 2019 and I'm not ready for a Gonzo shitshow:

* Terribly paced
* No effort done to make this setup immersive (thanks to the above)
* The animation is choppy, designs weird and everything looks bland and filtered

No thank you Netflix. If you _know_ how long the source material is why don't you actually bother doing a proper adaptation... Not interested in continuing this.
