Wow, this a story arc in Castle. It was Rick who disappeared and came back with amnesia, though.

This is a show straight away is on rocky ground. The plot of someone being kept for 6 years just feels ridiculous for what’s to follow and in truth you just can’t shake it throughout the whole season which spoils it somewhat. But if you can just let it go, this show really kicks in from episode 4 and the pace really picks up and becomes quite enjoyable and well worth watching as stana katic performance is excellent.

@rocksteddy I'll have to go through 4 hours before it gets watchable? that's too, in that time I can watch 8-12 anime episodes :-D

An unsolvable puzzle. Great acting. Interesting germ of an idea but it did what I most dislike in a mystery, it gave us
lots of false leads and resolve it with something unforeseeable (something that I never forgave in the latter writings of Agatha Christie)
. Because of that, I gave the first series a 7.5 (just good) out of 10 (it was subsequently renewed for two more season as it rated in Amazons Top Ten). After watching the second season (which had a ridiculously predictable plot) I have reduced my rating to 5 (meh) out of 10, which grieves me because I think Stana Katic was wonderful in CASTLE and I like to support Canadian talent, especially when they invest back into the industry in producing, writing and soundtrack. [Crime Mystery]

This is the second dumbest show I’ve watched while stuck at home. The writing, the directing and the acting are abysmal. It’s like if Hallmark tried to make a spy thriller and lowered the budget for each consecutive episode. If my remote was within reach to stop Amazon from auto playing the next episode I’d stop watching. Unfortunately, this show has drained me of the will to reach for it.

Absentia is a respectable tv show with thriller, drama, and investigative elements. However, this show would not thrive without the realistic and enthralling performances by Stana Katic, who made Emily Byrne such a compelling and believable character. Emily is a great protagonist because she is complex, with qualities that at times make her villainous but with an underlying heroic tendency that always places her on the right side of history. She's ruthless but caring, intelligent but misguided at times, and a hero that doesn't fear entering the dark side. It was a pleasure to watch this character for 3 seasons, and I genuinely hope to see what Stana Katic does in the future. And, I would also like to extend my congratulations to the rest of the cast. As a whole, it's a show that while not perfect is a thrilling viewing experience.

I don't think I've ever seen a more stupid series. That's 10 hours of my life I will **NEVER** get back. Every episode (and I do mean **EVERY** episode) contained the exact same troupes "No one can see the bad guy but me" and "Everyone around the protagonist is a complete idiot and can't figure out basic common sense principles". And then in the last 10 minutes of the last episode, the main character is _magically_ cleared of all suspicion and her innocence is delivered in exposition. Get the F**k out of here...

To suggest that hollyweird has taken a down-turn is putting it lightly. Do yourself a favor - avoid this one. Like seriously

This is a pretty good series. It seems to change direction and tone a bit each season which is ok, but it does still have an overriding arc. In Season 3 the action is really kicked up a notch and Stana becomes a female version of Wick.

After season 2 and 3 I am soooooo glad that I somehow got through season 1 and wanted to see more. I'm not a fan of action based movies/shows but this one is changing my likes for sure. Badass woman but she makes mistakes, wrong assumptions - definitely not perfect - romance is so messy, yet she can be a happy fluff at times which is so great and so human. By 3rd season it's no more shocking that there is always someone who betrays FBI and I really don't know how they still operate but it still can be unpredictable. Already can't wait for more.

It would help if you could get the date and time right, up here in Canada. A channel? A time? I use this app to help organize my shows. This one has never gotten this show, right! Good thing I can use, PVR, but should not have too.

Now on to the show, I expect s huge come back with her in any show, sadly, only episode 1 was. Giving season 2 a chance. We will see.

Love the story, it's amazing, but I really must commend the acting. It's simply brilliant!
And I really like seeing Stana in more serious role.

Took me two attempts to get through the first episode and managed to watch two more before I gave up on this show ever taking off.

Don't waste your time.

Started watching this for Stana Katic, and she's carrying the whole series. But without a Castle to bring some light to this darkness, this series is too brutal and too raw and rough for me. Perhaps its reality. But it was too much for me. I got through season 2 even, then stranded. Didnt feel like I really wanted to bother with season 3, even knowing that it was the final season.
Season 1 seemed cool and all and promising, but the story got dragged on and on from there. I dont know if I want to say Yay or Nay to this series as for an advice to watch yes or no.

Very cheap writing. The characters act so dumb you wanna shout at your tv. So many good shows get cancelled and this just goes on.
My prediction: Cal gets kidnapped twice in season 5. Also the writers from Arrow gets involved and bring back all death characers from Season 1-4. Alice is the first one.
