Adachi spends her school days skipping class until she meets fellow delinquent Shimamura and the two become fast friends. Cutting class together deepens their friendship but soon unexpected emotions blossom. As awkwardness and confusion settle in, the two girls travel this sea of emotions without a paddle as they learn about each other’s feelings.

It was a good story but way too much cringy with weird unrealistic and unnecessary elements. It was enjoyable at the most.

[spoiler]Shimamura's mental illness took a backseat, as signified by her natural hair color returning. It was the best part of the show. There was enough of interest left for me to finish it, but damn if I'm not disappointed. Ideally, the arc would have finished tragically as Adachi's overenthusiasm drove Shimamura away. I suppose that's character progression, but for it to happen over the course of a year is unrealistic. I am mostly disappointed with its ultimate genericness.[/spoiler] That being said, this was an excellent watch full of potential and accompanied by a fantastic art style. Thoroughly enjoyed most of it.

I did not think I would like this anime at all. I was two episodes in thinking the two main characters will not be interesting enough to keep me watching for twelve episodes, I will probably drop this series after the next episode. Two episodes turned into eight episodes. I was thinking oh my, my, another anime where the anime characters never make their feelings known to one another and nothing about their relationship will be resolved and we will have to wait a year or more for another season or Movie. I was kind of right but somehow after finishing the 12th episode i realized that I fell in love with all the characters in the anime along the way and wanted to cheer them on and ended up buying all of the translated light novels and preordered the manga.
