@BenFranklin : Actually, Gary can't control electromagnetic waves. What he does with his hands is an expression of him trying to filter out a specific signal. He sees a wireless connection as a thread which he can follow and view. But in the end he can't influence or change anything in the wireless spectrum.

Had some hopes for this show but it keeps getting worse and worse. Stupid super power villains, a main story line that nobody cares for. I would be surpised if this doesn't get cancelled.

It's very hard to review or rate Alphas, given the show's genre and actual content: It had several weak moments, and not always did I find it in myself to relate or like the characters.
