I loved this show and that was a hard accomplishment for it to pull off since the show I'd just finished was pretty epic.

It was one of those shows where the main protagonist has to keep showing how good he is and keep enduring persecutions until everyone could actually see his worth. There was no done deal that he was just accepted as good from the beginning and that made every person he won over really heart warming and more emotional.

The love story was pretty great but not epic. I'd say for this drama it wasn't about the love story mainly. It was about showing how humans treat each other. And building on how human and noble something not human could be.

I have one minor complaint about this show. Sometimes a happy ending lasts well through the last episode. Sometimes just 15 mins. I particularly hate when the happy ending occurs a seconds before the show is done. There's no showing of how the couple are happy together. And that's just what they did. After so many hours of watching someone get persecuted there was one second of happy ending.
