This series really reinforced how significant Glen A. Larson was to TV in the 1980's. So many series that became household names at the time - and so many series that were incredibly visionary.

Automan was visioning. This was 1983 - a time before the PC - and yet computers played a significant part in Larsons programs like this.

The downside is that watching it now is like watching something from a different time.

But I really recommend that you at least try it before moving on. There isn't anything like it around today.

lol - I got a little nostalgic and rewatched episode 1. It's quite a goofy show. Ridiculous even and yet somehow a little delightful.

However, I did notice one HUGE gotcha in episode 1. If Automan can not function during the day while everyone is using up electrical power, then how on earth did they manage to fly across the Atlantic where there are zero power sources? Hmm? I ask you how!

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
