Talks fast, shouts A lot. Most of his jokes are packaged into pretty lengthy stories.
His jokes don't have much intellect to them, in my opinion, so he doesn't catch me off guard very often. Usually he just brings up a somewhat funny circumstance and expounds on it enthusiastically.
i don't like his stand-ups

Haven't seen his past stuff, so can't compare, but the criticism of turning the lights up is sort of a weird one to focus on. One, it doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the content of the routine. Two, in the roughly 5% of the show where you can even see the audience, it's hard to qualify it as even remotely distracting, let alone "terrible." And third, the lights aren't really "up" through the show. They're low, and they turn them up when he's asking for audience participation, because he's making points that involve the audience needing to see each other.

It's a perfectly fine watch for folks that enjoy watching stand up.

Disappointing compared to his previous shows. The decision to turn the house lights up on the audience for the whole show was a terrible one.
