If I had to guess the show's title comes from the romance aspect of the show then the progression of the main character's tennis skills is rather quick (there are hints of asperger's which can be an explanation). While I found most of it not to be very engaging due to the wrap around being a cliché and kid friendly romance there have been some intense tennis matches to enjoy. A second season has been greenlit and is coming next year. If you're into tennis it's well worth checking out.

one of the better anime... knight's of sedonia and Baby steps are the only ones I'm following this season. I personally play n love tennis and I like how they've introduced the methodological way he learns tennis by taking notes. it's a unique idea... I've also read the manga so I can assure to those who've seen only a few episodes that the story evolves well and is worth a watch... my rating story : enough to keep me wAtching with a balance of tennis action n romance - 8/10 animation - average. it's difficult to animate high speed sports like tennis.. still it couldn'VE been better - 6/10 music - the background music is decent and suits the anime and feels comfortable. no problem on that end. - 8/10 Looking at the anime this season I'd recommend baby steps. Try it out!

Well Directed. Follows the manga very well. It is a good thing that there is no super powers involved but real tennis skills. It give good information about the game and you get involved emotionally with the battles.
