Me as a native speaking German am kinda curious if Netflix dubbed the show for their English speaking audience. Since I can't find nothing 'bout this topic online I'd be thankful for any response.

@pi-mp3 Afaik Netflix does not dub any show. There are a few other shows from other countries and Netflix didn't change them either.

@pi-mp3 Netflix Canada has the option for English audio and English subtitles for Babylon Berlin. It's not necessarily good dubbing from what I heard in the trailer, but it's offered. They've done this before for at least one other show that I'm aware of (Cable Girls).

@pi-mp3 Hi. On Netflix US, it has the option for "German (Original)" audio and "English" audio. You can choose English, German, or None for subtitles. This was the case for DARK also, but I believe that show had additional subtitle options.

@pi-mp3 Bit late, but no - they went with subtitles which is SO much better. I get to practice my German, and get a feel for the real dialogue and characters.

@pi-mp3 There is an option to watch the dubbed version but the dub is so obscenely awful I'm fairly sure most people just watch the subtitled one

@pi-mp3 I cant give you a direct answer but in case you still haven't found out, not that many countries ruin movies and TV-shows with dubbing. They rather keep the original feeling of the production and use captions instead. Living in Sweden it would be completely ridiculous to watch this and have all these people in 1930s Berlin talking Swedish.
