This is probably a good documentary but I was so distracted by how incredibly stupid she is. She knows he’s messing her but still went along with it. I try to psychoanalyse this but she didn’t seem to have a destructive upbringing or anything, had friends and family and staff who loved her, maybe she was suffering from depression from the first divorce? No idea but I think she is literally and simply stupid. It is SO frustrating. I kept shouting at the tv with my own narrative calling the guy a c:asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol: too many times to actually enjoy the show. She gives both vegans and women a bad name……

Easily the worst thing on Netflix. Stupid topic, awful human subject, stretched out to fill time just so some can get paid.

Excellent doc. I happen to live a few blocks from the restaurant so this may have resonated more closely for me, but the storytelling is excellent and it’s a fascinating exploration of how an otherwise intelligent person can be manipulated into making unbelievably reckless decisions (for “love”/belief in the supernatural, etc…). Worth a watch

ohhh I loved this! as the one guy said at the end:
you can tell the story with either of them as the villain, and it might be true.
i think it's pretty obvious from the way she described her behavior during their time away from new york that she pretty much dissociated to a degree and engaged in a lot of willful ignorance. it's just unfortunate that the horrendous relationship she had with this asshole affected far more people than just the two of them.

either way, not enough leon

it's kind of an interesting watch, however the whole media paraphernalia around the fact she's vegan is not only irrelevant to the story but kind of feeding of hatred on vegans which is just a shit take, and the journalist accompanying the story seems to push the same agenda

the story is interesting, the people involved are all shit and the title is shit
