I feel like the fact that the cast is quite old on average makes this series a bit boring. It needs more young blood.

The Victorian era is such an interesting period. And the show Victoria is one of my favorite shows ever. This one, however, has been quite dull thus far. It's too Downton Abbey-esque, and not in a good way.

After having finished it, I can confidently say this show is boring, and in the end, quite dumb. Would not recommend.

I like it, it shows what life was like in the Victorian era.

Another splendid drama from the pen of Julian Fellows. More Romance than the Dynastic Epic that was DOWNTON ABBEY but a treat from beginning to end: Fabulous cast giving great performances; showcasing a less known period of time; villains and saints; thrills and splendour. I give this limited series a 9 (splendid) out of 10. [Period Drama]

On first impression, this is no Downton. It's very hammy and the script reads like a best of Wikipedia entry.
After watching the entire run, can confirm it's melodramatic nonsense...

A very enjoyable period drama, but sadly the one surprising plot twist happens in the beginnings of the first episode, and the rest is entirely predictable. Nevertheless, still a good show with fitting Downton-esque music and cinematography.

[Movistar+] An exquisite period drama that resembles and at the same time distances itself from the mastery of "Downton Abbey", in the ability to make a family drama become a splendid reflection of a society marked by the rules of decency. The plot turns into a modern Hitchcock suspense setting, driven by the viewer's insider information, waiting for the characters to find a way to solve their miseries.
